The Gates Foundation recently released "The Silent Epidemic: Prespectives of High School Dropouts," a report based upon research by noted pollster Peter Hart.

As our working population shrinks (those pesky GenX'ers!) and our retired population grows due to retirements of Baby Boomers, we can't afford to lose a single potential worker…and each worker has to be prepared to work in the 21st Century economy in order for our society to continue to prosper.

That 47 percent of students said a major reason for dropping out of high school was that school was boring is a huge causes for concern. How do we reach these kids and prepare them to become propductive members of society?
